Marriage Ceremony
By choosing a civil marriage ceremony, you have the freedom to marry wherever your heart desires — from a beautiful grand celebration at a function venue to an intimate cliff-top ceremony overlooking the ocean — at any time of day, from dawn through to sunset.
My fee to conduct a ceremony on a weekend is on average $700 & weekday $650* – this fee is subject to travel distance, tolls and parking expenses.
It might sound too good to be true and you may think "what’s the catch?" - but there is none!
What sets me apart from other Celebrants is that I conduct your Ceremony rehearsal at my office - if you would like to meet me at your chosen venue, there will be a further fee. My couples appreciate the savings, and are confident that I'll have the Bridal party up to speed with their duties prior to the Ceremony commencing. Of course, couples are welcome to bring their Bridal party to my office as well for the rehearsal.
Pre-Ceremony
Together, we will need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage. This form must be lodged with me at least 1 month prior to your ceremony taking place.
Whether you born in Australia or overseas, you must provide an original birth certificate OR your passport - this can be an Australian or foreign passport.
If you have been married previously, you will need to provide documentation (original or authorised copy of your divorce certificate) showing how the marriage was terminated.
A deposit is required at the time of activating the Notice of Intended Marriage and to secure your booking with me. I will then provide you with a selection of ceremonies that I have crafted for your review. I believe the couple should be the ones to choose the wording which can be personalised as much or as little as they wish. You may also use them to gain inspiration to design your own ceremony (which I am happy to assist you with).
Rehearsal
My fee includes a Marriage Ceremony rehearsal at my office where we will complete all legal paperwork and conduct a rehearsal so that you and your partner will feel comfortable and confident knowing what will happen step-by-step on the day - allow 1.5-2hrs for this meeting!
During the Ceremony
Your ceremony is special to you and your guests and should be heard by all attending your wedding. I can supply one of two state-of-the-art portable cordless PA systems with wireless microphones. The PA systems are also available to play music which I am happy for you to utilise during your ceremony. My job is to help co-ordinate this special time - from laising with the venue and photographers to assisting with seating guests and coordinating the bridal party. I will conduct a sincere and professional ceremony and will ensure that I dress to fit in with the style of your wedding - it is your day, not mine!
At the end of your ceremony you will receive your presentation Marriage Certificate and bound copy of your ceremony as a keepsake.
After the Ceremony
I will attend to the lodgement and registration of your marriage with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages in a timely manner. I can also assist you with the application for an official marriage certificate.
* Weekday Wedding is classified as Mon-Thurs (any time) plus Friday prior to midday
